Case 1: The egg sinks rapidly and stays at the bottom horizontally; this means that the egg is fresh.

Case 2: The egg sinks more or less slow and stays at the bottom or standing tilted completely, this shows that the egg is not so fresh. The higher the degree of inclination, the older the egg. In these situations, the egg is still fit for consumption.

Case 3: The egg is not finished going to the bottom, slightly left floating. At this point, the egg is in a bad condition, although there are sources that continue to recommend that it’s fit for consumption.

Case 4: The egg is floating on the surface. This means that is completely rotten. This float is due to the gases generated by decomposing organic matter.

There is another method of how to tell if an egg is good, however, Now we will have to break the shell and place the contents on a plate.

The egg is fresh when we look at it bulky, well defined and strong orange yolk. The egg white must also have well-defined limits and should be thick, gel like.

You can check the freshness of the egg by the state of the yolk and white. The more diffuse and paler yolk means less freshness. The white would be clear and aqueous.

These are eggs fit for consumption. The egg is near  to get bad when the yolk is broken and yellowish.
